Overview

You will begin with an approximate 2 and a half hours drive towards the river pier in Bangkok, where you will board your Chao Phraya River boat ready for your canal cruise. As you board your boat, you will start your scenic boat ride through the canals and rivers of Bangkok, take advantage of the sights of Bangkok whilst your guide provides commentary along the journey on the canal

You take to the river aboard a longtail boat and leaving the main river you head into the intricate network of canals (klongs) of Thonburi. Much more peaceful Thonburi is a low-lying area opposite the main city; many of the houses here are built on stilts over the water and you pass the old wooden houses, local temples, restaurants and shops, which gives you an idea of how most of Bangkok would have been years ago. Its many canals had originally given Bangkok the name "Venice of the East." Passing by boat along the canals gives you a first hand impression of the scenic life along Bangkok's waterways. Sit back and relax as you take in all Bangkok has to offer, as you cruise along the river it lets you have a glimpse of the life in Bangkok, so dont forget your camera for most amazing memories.

You will now reach the Wat Arun, a Buddhist Temple in Bangkok, see the beautiful architecture inside and out of the temple. Once you have visited Wat Arun, you will now move onto the Icon Siam, the newest shopping mall which is located beside the Chao Phraya River, where you can enjoy some free time to explore the shops or grab some lunch or a coffee, before heading back to the coach ready to take you back to the port in plenty of time for your cruise ship's departure.
